The Arnolfini Portrait

This one comes at an interesting point for the project--late enough that I was willing to tackle a complicated painting like this one, early enough that I was still using a cartoony style without faithfully trying to copy every detail.

I hadn't seen this painting until I started this project. I loved it once I did--it is so bizarre and full of now inexplicable details that it's just fun to look at. I love when a painting from hundreds of years ago still makes me laugh. And putting my face in multiple times is always a treat.

Toward the end of the project, I redid old entries to compare progress and give the original artworks their proper due. You can see my redo of the Arnolfini Portrait at entry 91.
