This is by Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh, a female artist of the Glasgow School, which was a Scottish Art Noveau movement. I did not know about that movement before I started this project but now I love everything that I see from it. It's highly stylized and graphic, bold and bejeweled while also being somehow delicate.
Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh worked closely with her sister, and the both of their husbands. They became known as the "Glasgow Four". They exhibited with and became influences on the Vienna Seccessionists, the most famous of which is Gustav Klimt.
If you don't know this artist, definitely check out more of her work. It is all truly gorgeous. Someday I'd love to visit the Willow Tearooms, which were interior designed collaboratively by Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and her husband Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
