Flaming June

I remember being pretty happy with this one, even in this early sketched out version. I think I was able to get a restful feeling across. Thanks, Sir Leighton, for designing such a striking composition that it works even when sloppily copied!

Toward the end of the project, I redid old entries to compare progress and give the original artworks their proper due. You can see my redo of the Flaming June at entry 97.

Reference image is from Wikipedia. It is now in the Museo de Arte de Ponce.
